Custom design, manufacturing, and specialised installations

Sometimes we get requests for custom design and manufacturing, whether it’s a simple dual battery system for this 1977 LX hatch back Torana where the customer wanted a dual battery system to run his fridge whilst doing the V8 Touring car circuit and remote pub crawls. This system was a simple Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) system with fuse protection at both ends of cable and AGM deep cycle battery in boot beneath false floor in custom battery cradle.

We also get some of the most challenging jobs too. This Land Rover 90 series went full airbags with ride height control with fully automatic control (dependant on speed) and manual override so height could be adjusted to get into that low carpark or give extra clearance when doing the harder 4WD tracks.

The kit was designed and manufactured by Airbag Man Qld for the Land Rover 130 series Wagon, we had to extensively modify the kit as the LR90 had a long range tank fitted where most of the air compressor and control system would mount, so we had to flip the whole kit over and modify all looms to reach the respective ride height sensors and find a suitable position to mount the air compressor out of the already cramped cabin.

This kit was fitted by myself under contract to Opposite Lock Windsor Gardens SA.
